Welcome to today's art video! In this tutorial, we'll be creating a beautiful landscape painting featuring a serene pond, lush green trees, and a majestic foreground tree surrounded by tall grass and white flowers.
To start, we'll be using this unconventional big oval brush for most of our painting. Let's begin by creating a silhouette of distant green trees using phthalo green acrylic color.
Next, we'll add the blue sky above the trees and highlight the tree line with a touch of white to represent the light coming out of the sky.
Now, let's use an ultra soft blending brush to soften the background, creating a blurry effect that adds depth to our painting.
Wonderful! Now, let's move on to the reflections in the pond below the trees. We'll be using the same colors as the trees and the sky, but in reverse order.
Using a 4-inch oval brush, we'll carefully blend the colors below the tree line. Then, with the ultra soft blending brush, we'll remove all the brushstrokes to create a still-water effect.
