I have a question. I heard that you should never use water with acrylics on canvas. Because the colors let go of the canvas after a while. But I see a lot of artists use water.
What is correct?

I have to note that the biggest thing you need to keep in mind is what type and quality of paint you are using. More expensive acrylic paint such as Golden Acrylics contain a lot more concentration of color pigments which in turn will allow you to be more flexible with adding water without compromising the color saturation.?

question Peter - I see you leve the lids off the paints while you work    how do they
not dry out??

REPLY

Great question Pam. The paint I am using "Basics" by Liquitex is very thick in its consistency and it takes a very long time for it to dry out.?

Ayah El-nohaili

where do u get ur ideas from?

REPLY

Excellent question Ayah, I try to be observant to my surroundings and try to examine things and reimagine them in abstract view.?

Josiah Rodriguez Beke

When you begin a piece do you have a clear vision in your head? Also, how do you decide when your piece is finished?

I have been struggling with this...?

REPLY

Thank you Josiah for your questions. I usually start with a blurry idea of what I want to paint. I plan in my head on the different stages I will have to go through to get to the final destination and sometimes add new ideas as they arrive during process.?
