Antique Abstract Painting Technique-Painting Art
In this video demonstration I will be creating an old looking ship sailing through the sea of time. The final effect that I am after is antique look and feel to this abstract painting. Initially I started on premade blue background, covered the painting with earth colors such as brown, red oxide, yellow oxide, orange and white. I used sponge to blend all of those colors together. Then I used water to sprinkle it on top of the canvas and observed some of that color using dry and clean sponge revealing the blue background showing through the second layer of earth colors. Finally I have painted the ship itself and made sure it dissolves with the background by using more water and once again sponge.
